The Mountain (Lord Of The Rings) By Shalott and Melina Words fail to describe the brilliance of this video. It is absolutely flawless. Perfect song, perfect use of clips, perfectly edited. This vid is superb. It is mature and subtle in it's complexity. It focuses on the obstacles that both Aragorn and Frodo must overcome. How they each have their own private burden. A must see for LotR fans! 2. The Space Between (Higlander) By Shalott Brilliant choice of song, flawless editing. Shalott posses a complete understand the complex cores of the characters and their relationships with one another. She brings it forward with subtle editing that builds tension and moves you. Any Highlander fan would appreciate how perfectly she captures the intricate nature of the relationship between Duncan and Methos in this vid. Shalott is in a league of her own! 3. No More Good Guys (Lord Of The Rings) By Melissa Her use of music to clips is phenomenal it's as if the character's bodies and movements of the subject are instruments for the music to be played off of. Fantastic editing. You really FEEL this video as you watch it. The hits are perfect and she doesn't miss a beat. The emotion is palpable, it's rare that a vidder can capture in such depth the feeling of the subjects. This vid focuses on the relationship between Denethor and his sons as well as the bond between the brothers. It's faithful to Tolkien's version as well as the movies. 4. The Boy Was A Puppet (Harry Potter) By Fabella Perfect choice of song. Very well edited. Excellent use of clips. Some interesting effects. Nice hits to the music. Holds your attention throughout. This vid is powerful and moving. It has a darkly mysterious feel to it. There is excellent use of symbolism which helps build the mood of the video. This vid focuses on Harry's self sacrifice and his heroic nature. It expresses those elements of Harry's experience and character in a way no other vid we have seen has done. It fully captures the essence of the series. Very well done. 5. The Distance (Harry Potter) By Corn_Child Brilliant editing and effects. Great hits to the music. Fantastic use of black and white with splashes of color. This vid really grabs you and holds you to the end. One of the absolute best Harry Potter vids out there. It focuses on the competitive side of the tri-wizard tournament and Harry's determination as well as his experience with Voldemort, his relationship with Cho and his feelings about what happened to Cedric. 6. I'm Not A Virgin Anymore (Highlander) By Luminosity Excellent song, very well edited. Brilliant vid. Laugh out loud funny! One of the funniest vids we have ever seen. Accurately captures the humor of the series. The vidder has a great understanding of the characters. This vid is a hilarious account of Duncan's sexual escapades over the centuries as well as the slashy nature of the relationship between Methos and Duncan. A must see for Highlander or slash fans! 7. Bodies (Equilibrium) By Vi-Dawn Action packed kick ass vid! This vid is fast paced and holds your attention. Great editing, great song choice, great hits. We had never seen the movie and just watching this vid made us HAVE to see it. We watch this vid all the time. It focuses on Preston's anger and emotion. 8. Nothing Is Good Enough (Harry Potter) By Bunniqula Very well edited and subtle in it's message. Great clip choices used to build emotional tension between the subjects. A unique look at the fragile relationship between Harry and Snape. It leaves one pondering all that is unsaid between these two characters. Very well done, in particular the very last scene is most powerfully edited and shows just how much can be expressed in a look. 9. Don't Fear (Lord Of The Rings) By Lenna Sound editing, great song choice. Seductive and mysterious feel to the vid. A unique look at the subject. Great build up throughout. The vid feels powerful. It focuses on Frodo and how he's touched and lured by the darkness all around him, from a different point of view. 10. I'm About To Break (Star Wars) By "A Becca Produtions" Perfect song choice, fantastic hits to the music, great editing. Powerful, emotional, action packed vid! The vidder is very sensitive to Anakin's inner turmoil and expresses it well. It focuses on Anakin and how all of his rage built up to a boiling point until he could no longer hold it back.
